At Schwab, you'll have a personalized accounts summary. This customizable overview features all your account balances and lets you link and add non-Schwab accounts to see your full financial picture.

What to expect:

  • See all your accounts in one place on the Schwab website and the Schwab Mobile app.
  • Access your most used features on the Schwab Mobile app dashboard, including account balance, total value, and important messages.
  • Personalize your Schwab website view by naming and arranging your accounts, and prioritizing the information you need most. Plus, get news about your holdings using Schwab's Stay Connected® service.

Schwab's position view allows you to view the positions of all brokerage accounts on a single page on the Schwab website. On the Schwab Mobile app, you can select an account to view positions.

What to expect:

  • On the Schwab website, log in and select an account from the dashboard. From there, you can customize data columns, sort using column headers, and more. In addition to customizable views, each position has a "Next steps" dropdown menu allowing quick access to convenient shortcuts, like setting alerts, option chains, charts, company news, and more.
  • On the Schwab Mobile app, log in and select an account from the dashboard to go to the positions page.
  • At Schwab, position values in extended market sessions are based on the closing prices of the preceding general market session. Position values do not update based on price action in extended market sessions.

Coming to Schwab by end of 2023: Streaming quotes on the Positions page on the Schwab website and the Schwab Mobile app. Until then, you can stream positions by navigating to Watchlists > Positions Watchlist.

What to expect:

  • On the Schwab website, log in and select Research.
  • On the Schwab Mobile app, log in and select Markets.
  • Access a variety of research providers and tools, such as Argus, CFRA, MarketEdge, Morningstar, Schwab Equity Ratings, and more.

What to expect:

SnapTicket® is a streamlined trade ticket on the Schwab website that displays streaming market data and allows you to enter orders directly from nine key pages in your trading workflow.

  • Find the SnapTicket on the right side of key the Schwab website pages. Just click to expand the SnapTicket and enter your order details.

The the Schwab website trade ticket has features designed to help you to quickly and efficiently build orders.

  • Find the the Schwab website trade ticket under the Trade tab in the main menu on the Schwab website.

The Schwab Mobile app trade ticket has been redesigned for a more intuitive trading experience.

  • Select Trade on the Schwab Mobile app menu.

Narrator: Need to allow someone to view or trade or move money within one or more of your accounts?

Screen fades to Schwab Homepage

Narrator: Click Profile, and select Account Access.

Mouse clicks Profile, then clicks Account Access.

Narrator: To begin this process, click Give Account Access.

Narrator: From this page, you can select the level of access you need to grant a third party. Options include: View-only access, to view account information; Limited-trading authority, to view account information and trade; and Full-trading authority, to view account information, trade and move money. Narrator: Once you've determined the level of access you'd like to grant, click the card with the appropriate permissions to continue.

Narrator: Next, select the financial account you want to give access to.

Mouse clicks on the financial account and clicks Continue.

Narrator: And finally, you'll need to provide information about the person you're giving access to. Required contact information includes full name, phone number and email.

Narrator: During this process, you'll need to provide contact details for the authorized third party, review your submission and finally review the authorization agreement.

Narrator: As soon as you submit your request, you'll receive a confirmation message along with the required next steps. If you're the individual account holder, this means your authorized user will now receive an email link containing their portion of the enrollment process.

Narrator: Alternatively, joint accounts will require that all additional account holders approve the request before continuing. Looking to change access? To do so, make your way to the accounts and roles section of the account access page.  Here, you'll see a list of your accounts and users who have access to them. To begin making changes, choose the action you'd like to take found directly to the right of each user.

Narrator: For this example, we'll be changing access. You'll then be prompted with further instructions.

Mouse clicks Continue.

Narrator: In this case, we're asked to verify that we'd like to change access. 

Mouse ticks the boxes, agreeing to authorization agreements and clicks Submit.

Narrator: Instructions may vary depending on the action you choose to take, but you'll always receive confirmation after completing the steps outlined. For joint accounts, some actions may require that additional account holders approve the change before continuing.

Schwab's Account Access tab makes it easy to grant access to your account so others can view account activity, trade, or move money and assets. You can also grant View Only digital access to account information, statements, and tax documents without the ability to trade or move money in and out of your account.
