Narrator: On Schwab.com, there's a number of stock research tools like Schwab Stock Lists™, screeners, stock comparisons, and more. In this video, we're going to focus on the Stock Screener. The screener allows you to find stocks based on criteria you choose.
To get to the Stock Screener, roll over Research and select Stocks. Then select Screeners.
You can choose from predefined screens created by Schwab, or you can create your own. You can choose a number of criteria to find a list of stocks that meet your investing objective.
For example, if you're looking for companies that have a specific range in price, you can do that by selecting Basic, then Price. Next, select the range you're interested in. For this example, we'll select $40 to $60 and then view our matches. Now, we're looking at stocks that have a price between $40 and $60.
To reset, select New Screen.
Now, let's say you're looking for companies with specific levels of market capitalization. You can screen stocks based on their market cap by selecting Basic, then Market Capitalization. Finally, select the market cap size you're looking for. For this example, we'll select Mid Cap, view your matches, and there you are.
If you want to keep a screen to use later, select Save Screen.
You can also compare up to five stocks from your screen by selecting them and selecting Compare. You can save that comparison by selecting Save Comparison.
With dozens of criteria to choose from, the screener is a powerful way to quickly find stocks on Schwab.com.
