Narrator: Everyone at Schwab needs to set up a unique Schwab Login ID and password that provides access to all accounts they own or are authorized to access. Whether your account move is scheduled and you've been notified to create your Schwab login info, or your account has already moved to Schwab, follow these steps and you'll be all set. And if you are already a Schwab client with a Schwab Login ID, you are all set and there is nothing you need to do.

Narrator: To get started, login to tdameritrade.com or the TD Ameritrade Mobile app.

Narrator: If your account has not yet moved to Schwab, you'll see a Create Schwab login button in several places on tdameritrade.com when you are logged in. Look for it on a pop-up screen directly after you log in, your Account Overview home screen, and in the Schwab Transition Center when you're logged in to your TD Ameritrade account.

Narrator: If your account has already moved to Schwab, you'll be prompted to set up your new Schwab credentials once you log in to tdameritrade.com or the TD Ameritrade Mobile app. Click on Create Schwab login.

 Narrator: Begin the login creation process by clicking Start.

Narrator: You'll need to confirm your identity by entering the last four digits of your social security number or ITIN and your date of birth.

Narrator: Then, click Continue.

Narrator: If your current TD Ameritrade user ID is available, you'll see the option to continue using it as your Schwab login ID. If it's not available, you'll go straight to creating your Schwab Login ID and password.

Narrator: Once you select your preference, click Continue.

Narrator: Then, follow the prompts to finalize your Login ID and create a password. Please note: your Schwab Login ID cannot contain more than 8 numbers in a row (avoid using phone numbers or account numbers).

Narrator: Once you've completed the form, click Continue.

Narrator: Now that your login info is set up, we will ask you to set up your security preferences. These are an added layer of security to protect your account online. 2-step verification safeguards your account information even if your Login ID and password become compromised. If you'd like to be asked to confirm your identity every time you login, select Every time I login. Otherwise, if you'd only like to be asked to confirm your identity when you're not signing on from a trusted device, select When I am not on a trusted device.

Narrator: If you choose Every time I login. Your first step will be to select whether you'd like to confirm your identity using the Schwab Mobile app or via text message.

Narrator: If you choose Schwab Mobile app. you'll need to make sure to download the Schwab Mobile app at schwab.com/mobile, if you haven't already.

Narrator: To verify your identity on your mobile device each time you log in, just follow the on-screen prompts.

Narrator: If you choose text message, a new code will be sent to you via text to your mobile device to verify your identity each time you login.

Narrator: To use this feature, it's important that your mobile number is up to date in your account. If your number has recently changed, you can make updates by logging in to schwab.com if your account has already moved to Schwab or tdameritrade.com if your account hasn't yet  moved.

Narrator: If you choose When I am not on a trusted device, you'll be asked to verify your device.

Narrator: For this example, we'll select Yes, trust this device.

Narrator: By selecting yes, you will not need to confirm your identity using the same device like a personal laptop or your mobile phone again. If you choose No, don't trust this device, then you'll need to confirm your identity each time you use that particular device.

Narrator: If you're logging in from a device that isn't trusted – or you use multiple devices to access your account – you can use the Schwab Mobile app for 2-step verification.

Narrator: After you have completed your Security Preference set up, you will reach the confirmation screen. If your account hasn't moved to Schwab yet, you'll see a personalized view of the accounts that will be moving, as well as their transition date. Please make note of when your account access at TD Ameritrade ends – and when it begins at Schwab. If any accounts are missing, please review the possible reasons by clicking the appropriate link, found at the bottom of the accounts section. You can revisit this page at any time before your account move is complete.

Narrator: If your account has already moved to Schwab, your confirmation screen will confirm your selections and redirect you to log in to schwab.com with your new credentials.

Narrator: Once you've completed these steps and your account has transitioned to Schwab, you'll be able to view and manage all your accounts on Schwab.com and the Schwab Mobile app with your newly created login info.
